The Country Living Lansdown Grove Hotel in Bath will not reopen after owner the Specialist Leisure Group Limited went into administration yesterday, Friday 22nd May.
The hotel on Lansdown Road, which in 2018 became the world’s first ‘Country Living Hotel’, was previously known as The Lansdown Grove.
The Specialist Leisure Group operated several businesses that sold holidays and other travel arrangements under a number of brand names, which have all ceased to trade due to the COVID-19 coronavirus.
The company owned brands including Shearings, National Holidays and Caledonian Travel.
Administrators have said that all tours, cruises, holidays and hotel breaks booked with the Specialist Leisure Group have been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
The Country Living Hotel in Bath was set in a Grade II-listed building, one of the oldest in the city, with a Regency façade and wrought-iron balconies.
