The number of businesses enrolled on the B&NES Business Support Programme, which offers free expert business advice to growing firms, has more than doubled in the last six months.
Over 250 businesses have now enrolled on the programme, which is delivered by the business growth consultancy Cool Ventures. This compares with 100 firms on the scheme back in March.
Cool Ventures has appointed a new client co-ordinator, Laura Lewis, to help support the growing numbers of businesses on the programme which benefit from expert coaching and access to workshops on business planning, finance, marketing and management.
Lithuanian-born Laura joins Cool Ventures from the international digital marketing agency Zeta Interactive in Bristol, where she was a client account manager.
Prior to this Laura, who has a master’s degree in international management with marketing from the University of Exeter, worked as a marketing executive at City Cruises in London, which is the leading tour boat operator on the River Thames.
Laura will also use her marketing experience to help promote the benefits of the Bath and North East Somerset Business Support Programme, which was launched last summer.
Cool Ventures director Sue Marchant said: “The phenomenal success of the programme means we now need help to support the growing numbers of businesses we advise, so I’m delighted to welcome Laura to the team.
“Her appointment will allow more entrepreneurs and small businesses to take advantage of the expert advice on offer.
“If your business is based in Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon or Wiltshire, then please get in touch with Laura to talk about how we can help you take it to the next level.”
