Bath & North East Somerset Council are now offering a very competitive Rolling Road Brake Testing Service, for any vehicle over 3.5 tonnes, for just £10 an axle + VAT.

Did you know that in addition to its compulsory annual test MOT, it is recommended that your commercial or PCV vehicle’s brakes are tested at least 3 times a year?

The service is offered at the Council’s DVSA MOT Testing Station at Locksbrook Road in Bath.

The depot is convenient to get to and provides an impartial and reliable service.

The Brake Tests, which are carried out by the highly trained staff using state-of-the-art equipment, are available by appointment Monday to Friday.

Cllr Martin Veal (Conservative, Bathavon North), Cabinet Member for Community Services said: “Taking care of your vehicle is vital in ensuring you are safe on the road.

“The Council’s Rolling Road Brake Testing Service is competitive, convenient and reliable and offers peace of mind that your commercial or PCV vehicle is safe on the roads.”

Other new services now being offered at the Locksbrook Road Fleet workshop are:

  • Quotes for repairs and servicing on cars and small vans;
  • A special offer on taxi testing;
  • Motorbike (and sidecar) MOTs;
  • Driver training
