The Electric Bear Brewery based on Brassmill Lane in Bath has partnered with café and coffee roaster Mokoko Café to develop a special craft beer to mark the reopening of the hospitality industry.
The beer, Mokoko Chocholata, will be available from the Electric Bear Tap Room when its outdoor seating area opens up on Friday 16th April for £5 per pint.
Will Bryant, TapRoom Manager said: “It’s great for two hospitality businesses to come together and create something positive from the pandemic.
“Mokoko Café is renowned for their coffee roasting and we’re known for making craft beer – it’s a perfect partnership.”
The two businesses selected a Brazilian coffee, Brazilian Vargem Grande, to accentuate the chocolate and caramel flavours of the beer.
Will continued: “Mokoko Chocholata is a velvety smooth beer, that’s topped off with a light dose of vanilla which brings out the sweetness. I’m sure our craft-beer fans will think this one is a winner.”
Will and his team will also be teaming up with local street-food traders to offer customers food options.
East African Jikoni will be the first trader to serve traditional and inspired dishes from Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia and Tanzania.
The Electric Bear TapRoom has been closed since early December and plans to reopen every Friday (5pm-10pm), Saturday (2pm-10pm) and Sunday (2pm-6pm) from Friday 16th April.
Tables at the TapRoom will be given on a first come, first serve basis.
