Scottish craft brewer BrewDog has opened its latest bar in the centre of Bath, following years of searching for suitable premises in the city.
The new bar, which opened last Friday, will offer beer and food to customers and is located in the SouthGate shopping centre.
It features 28 taps of craft beer from BrewDog and guest breweries, along with a takeaway service for those wanting their beers ‘to go’.
The bar will also serve cider, spirits, wine and coffee from ethical supplier Grind.
The food menu includes burgers, wings and salads, as well as brunch at the weekend.
For those wanting to find out more about the world of craft beer, BrewDog Bath will be running ‘Beer School’ sessions. They include guided tastings led by Cicerone-trained staff, discovering the flavours and backstories to five beers.
BrewDog had previously offered £5,000 to anyone who could find a bar in Bath for it to move to, or £10,000 for a larger site where it could also brew beer.
Guy Henderson, centre director at SouthGate Bath, said: “We’re always looking for new brands to bring to Bath city centre and are really excited to welcome BrewDog this summer.
“With an extensive selection of craft beers as well as a mouth-watering menu, we’re sure the new spot will be a hit with both local visitors and tourists alike.”
