Ed Ralph, a salesman at the Jessops store in Bath, has been shortlisted in the Salesperson of the Year – Multiples category at this year’s ERT Awards.
Ed was selected for his exceptional customer care skills and demonstration of camcorders.
As part of ERT’s monthly “Take a Town” feature, the Jessops Bath store on Southgate Street was visited by ERT’s mystery shopper.
Here they were welcomed by a very obliging Ed, asking if they needed any help in the camcorder section.
Ed then proceeded to ask tailored questions in order to find out the right information to start making appropriate suggestions.
After running through and physically demonstrating the features of a particular Sony camcorder, Ed handed over a quote adding that he’d put in an extra battery as well as a three year warranty to close the deal.
Ed is considered as highly commendable for the award having scored 5/5 for his sales skills and the Jessops store itself 5/5 for presentation, meaning an overall score of 10/10 from the May 2015 issue of ERT.
The other finalists who have been announced are: Kate Phillips from Currys PC World Megastore, Swansea and Sam Turner, Richer Sounds in Guildford.
Scott Worger, Jessops, Retail Operations Director says: “Ed delivered our sales process and followed exact guidelines, ensuring that we offer every customer outstanding, best in class customer service.”
The winner of the award will be announced at a prestigious lunchtime ceremony on October 19th at The Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden, London.
