Bath McDonald’s reopens following restaurant and drive-thru revamp

Bath’s only McDonald’s drive-thru has reopened following a redesign aimed at improving the experience for customers and staff.

The restaurant at Weston Lock Retail Park, which is owned and operated by local franchisee Paul Pearson, now features a new layout and updated technology.

The changes are intended to make ordering faster and more efficient while giving customers greater choice over how they place and collect their orders.

The redesigned kitchen and dining areas better integrate digital ordering channels, including the McDonald’s App, while making more effective use of the space inside the restaurant.

Dedicated areas have been created for different ordering methods and the front counter has been removed, providing customers with more room to sit and eat.

The drive-thru has also been refurbished, while the dining area has been given a more contemporary appearance.

Improvements have been made for employees too, including a redesigned crew room intended to provide a more comfortable and relaxing space during breaks.

Councillors June Player and Colin Blackburn, from Bath & North East Somerset Council, will join Mr Pearson and the restaurant team for a formal reopening on Friday 24th July.

A grand opening event took place on Saturday 25th July, with face painting, glitter tattoos, arts and crafts, Instaframe photographs and the opportunity to win prizes.

Mr Pearson, who operates three McDonald’s restaurants across the Bath and Bristol area, said: “I’m proud to reinvest in our Bath restaurant and I’m excited for our customers to see our new look!

“The dining area is more contemporary, and our Drive Thru has been refurbished leading to a better experience for everyone using it.

“I’m confident the changes will not only benefit our customers but also our restaurant team as these will help make their jobs a little easier.”
