Double BAFTA winning digital agency Complete Control has begun working again with one of the world’s most successful and prestigious children’s television shows – the Teletubbies.

With new episodes of the iconic programme due back on air on 9th November, Bath-based Complete Control has been chosen to create unique, entertaining and engaging content across all the show’s digital channels.

The agency is busy building the show’s global website, which is due to be launched early next year.

In the meantime Complete Control has already made the highly addictive TeletubME, a video sharing app allowing fans to turn them and their friends into dancing Teletubbies.

“The challenge has been to re-illustrate and redesign what’s seen on TV for the digital space,” said Complete Control founder Glynn Hayward.

“It’s about building a range of digital products so children and parents can have fun and learn through the interactive content we’re making.“

The Complete Control studio is based in Bath’s own version of Teletubbyland.

Situated on the outskirts of the city, it’s a mere coincidence the studios view is a vista of rolling hills and rabbits frolicking outside the windows.

The BAFTA award winning studio has a team of 18 designers, developers, animators, game-makers and project managers.

However times have changed since Complete Control last worked with Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po.

The four have kept their loveable, huggable distinctive features but have been subtly updated to cater for today’s pre-schoolers.

The characters now proudly display a range of ‘Tubby technology’ such as including Touch Screen Tummies and a new Tubby Phone – changes that Complete Control have to replicate in all their work.

“As an agency, our background in creating fun interactive content for kids has seen us win two BAFTAs,” said Glynn Hayward.

“This project is about building a bright and safe digital world which captures young children’s imagination and helps them grow by exploring and learning through the stories and adventures of the Teletubbies.”

“We can now proudly say we’re THE digital agency for one of the most successful children’s show ever seen.”
