Visit Bath has announced a new partnership with local law firm Mogers Drewett, which will support events being held at this year’s Bath Christmas Market.
Mogers Drewett, which has offices in Bath, Wells, Sherborne and Frome, will be supporting family-friendly events including the lanterns and decorations made by local primary school children from single-use plastic lighting up Abbeygate Street.
There will be an official switching on of these lights on Wednesday 21st November to coincide with the Bath Christmas Market Residents’ Evening.
Mogers Drewett will also be supporting the family area and artisan market in Queen Square which will take place on all three Saturdays during the event.
In 2017, an estimated 409,000 people visited the Bath Christmas Market, generating an associated additional spend of £29.4 million across the city, the highest ever in the market’s 17-year history and a 40% increase on 2016.
Les Redwood, Head of Business Development and Partnerships at Visit Bath, said: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with Mogers Drewett for the Christmas Market and the support they are giving to some of the key elements of the event.
“Visit Bath is continually looking to engage with local businesses and enhance connections between them and the Bath community. This in turn helps us to promote the city to a local, regional and national audience.”
Steven Treharne, Managing Partner at Mogers Drewett, said: “Bath Christmas Market has gone from strength to strength, and has become a destination for people not just in the South West but right across the UK.
“We’re very proud to support this fantastic event which does so much to promote the city of Bath.
“Our relationships with our clients are often spread across several generations both for business and private needs, and for that reason, the specific events we’re supporting will be able to be enjoyed by adults and children alike.”
