Emily Monk, from the Platinum Accident Repair Centre in Bath, has beaten seven other finalists to win the AutoRaise Apprentice of the Year Award at the 2015 British Bodyshop Awards.
Joined by over 800 guests from the across the accident repair and motor insurance industry, Emily received her award presented by Steve Plunkett, Volvo Body and Paint Programme Development Manager.
The BBC’s Fiona Bruce hosted this year’s awards at the Evolution in the heart of Battersea, London.
Jeremy Cuff, joint Managing Director at Platinum Motor Group commented: “We are absolutely delighted with Emily’s achievement.
“Over the years, the company has always sought to bring on new talent through the appointment of trainees and by offering apprenticeships.
“Emily’s award is a vindication of that approach taken by the company and by Emily’s hard work in her role.”
Emily said: “When I heard them say that I had won the award I was very proud and surprised as I have only been with Platinum ARC for 12 months.
“I hope that I have inspired other girls to start a career in the motor trade.”
