South West-based employment agency Juice Recruitment has said the region’s growing jobs market has helped the company have a strong start to the year.
Managing director Emma Summers said the company, which specialises in sales, HR, creative, office, accountancy, financial services and temping, had seen significant increases across all divisions of the business.
From January to March, Juice Recruitment recorded its highest number of recruits securing permanent positions – up 32% year-on-year.
The number of permanent job placements available were also up 22% from the last quarter of 2015.
Emma said the increases illustrated the strength of the permanent jobs market and were an accurate reflection of the national picture.
According to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics there were 31.42 million people in work in March – 478,000 more than the same month last year.
Juice Recruitment has four branches across the South West in Bath, Bristol, Cheltenham, and Trowbridge.
The company works with a number of top South West businesses helping to find the right people to fill positions.
Their clients include Wessex Water, Ecotricity, Lovehoney, Bath Rugby and Local World.
Since January Juice Recruitment has also seen an increase in the number of candidate registrations – up 22% from the end of 2015 – and an increase in the number of vacancies registered by companies looking for skilled workers.
Emma said: “At Juice Recruitment we are proud to be representing some of the South West’s prolific brands and have recently seen the most amazing opportunities being registered.
“The South West is a hub of fantastic businesses and exciting opportunities and with Juice Recruitment working with so many progressive companies locally, we are sourcing candidates who have the skill set, energy and passion to add enormous value to our clients.”
The confident start to 2016 has also had an impact on Juice Recruitment’s in-house operations.
The company has launched new branding for the firm, a new easy-to-use website and is currently investing in its five branches.
Emma said there are also plans underway to open new branches later in the year.
She continued: “2016 has seen such a positive start and we wanted to take advantage of that energy. Juice Recruitment has a long established reputation in the South West as the go-to place for staffing needs and we want to continue to build on that.”
