Triangle Fitness, which operates under the Anytime Fitness franchise scheme, submitted proposals to convert the restaurant into a gym, and was granted permission to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.

The gym will be spread out over the ground floor of Cambridge House, with the basement also being utilised.

In their application, Anytime Fitness said their members can work out at their convenience, and would use a security-access key fob to enter the club at all times, even when it is not staffed.

KFC, which has been at Cambridge House since 2000, has confirmed they are looking for a new location in Bath, and hope to announce the opening of another site in the city soon.

Anytime Fitness was founded in 2002 and has grown substantially, becoming one of the world’s largest and fastest growing, 24 hour fitness franchises.

Anytime Fitness has over 3,000 clubs open worldwide, open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Currently there are 90 Anytime Fitness gyms operating within the UK.
