Bath & North East Somerset Council’s construction and development company has picked up another award for its St Joseph’s Court development at Sladebrook Road in Southdown.

In 2018 Aequus Construction Limited (ACL) acquired the site where the former St Joseph’s Church stood.

The nine three-and-four bed energy-efficient houses, including two made available to residents on a shared-ownership basis, were completed nearly two years ago.

The development has just been named Residential Project of the Year (35 homes and under) at the 2024 Michelmores Property Awards.

The awards celebrate excellence in property, development and construction in the South West region.

St Joseph’s Court was also named best residential development at the Bath Property Awards in 2022.

Aequus said: “Nearly two years from completion, it is wonderful to see that this development is still being recognised as delivering high-quality family homes.”

Aequus is currently working on eight social rent properties at the Argyle Works site in Bath, which are due to be completed next year.
