Bath’s oldest carpet company is celebrating more than half a century of trading.

Paul and Anna-Louise Ivory at Avonvale Carpets

Originally started by Peter Pink in 1972, Avonvale Carpets is a family-run business based in Kingsmead Street.

Present owner Paul Ivory is celebrating 25 years at the helm in 2024; his daughter Anna-Louise joined the family business in 2017, starting out in the office and progressing to running the shop and becoming an owner in 2020.

The company offers a variety of flooring. In addition to wool, tailor-made, and stain-resistant carpets, there is a selection of hard flooring options including engineered wood, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), and vinyl.
