Abbey Mews Townhouse in Pierrepont Place has won VisitEngland’s prestigious Rose Award in Recognition of Excellent Customer Service, the only property in the region to have won such an award.
Kate Timms, the owner of the unique holiday let property, said she is over the moon at receiving the prestigious award.
She said: “When I was first setting up this stunningly beautiful Georgian Townhouse as a holiday let, I fashioned it on the Bath Townhouses that were let out for groups of elite ladies in Bath’s previous Georgian heyday – and wanted it to be the very best in class for large groups: this amazing property sleeps up to ten.
“One of our recent TripAdvisor reviews described Abbey Mews as ‘The best place to stay in Bath’ and this unique and special award is a fabulous third party endorsement of everything we wanted to achieve.”
Abbey Mews is situated between Bath Spa Railway Station and Bath Abbey along a stunning cobbled street – it is believed to have been built on the site of the old gardener’s cottage when the area was laid out to orchards in monastic times.
The property was gentrified in about 1750 and was the home to a titled lady for many years. Kate Timms has highlighted all the property’s original features in her sympathetic renovation and has reflected it’s Georgian grandeur in her choice of period furnishings.
She added: “I scoured local antique shops and auctioneers to make sure all the furnishings were as authentic as possible.”
