Brassknocker Hill, one of the main routes in and out of Bath, will be closing tomorrow and for five consecutive nights from Monday for resurfacing work.

The road, which is used by hundreds of motorists each day, will be closed between 7am to 7pm tomorrow (Sunday) to allow for the start of the resurfacing work to take place.
Following concerns over the amount of traffic the original closure plan would bring with the ongoing B3110 Midford Road closure, the Council will now finish the resurfacing work between 7pm-7am each night until the 21st February.
The whole road will be resurfaced, from the junction at Claverton Down Road to the bottom at the junction of the A36 Warminster Road.
The Council had originally planned to completely close Brassknocker Hill between Monday 17th to Friday 21st February.
A diversion will be put in place, with residents advised to continue in and out of Bath via the A36.
Emergency stabilisation work by the Highways Agency on the A36 Warminster Road has also been postponed until September.
The work, which was scheduled to take up to three months, involves the A36 from Bathampton to Brassknocker Hill in Monkton Combe being closed for necessary remedial repairs to be carried out.
A Highways Agency spokesman has said that the work will now be delayed until after the summer.
This is due to further investigation work concluding that specialist equipment would be needed to stabilise the road effectively.
