Don Foster, the MP for Bath, took part in a lively Question and Answer session at the University of Bath on Monday evening.

The event was organised by IREP, the University’s postgraduate society for politics students, and saw around 40 people brave the blustery conditions to meet the Bath MP and Government member.
There was a plethora of interesting questions ranging from what it was like to be Liberal Democrat Chief Whip, to whether their local MP enjoyed watching the Star Wars films, to which Don shocked the crowd by declaring that he had only enjoyed the original 3.
The session took place as part of a series of free talks put on by IREP to encourage debate and discussion between students about politics. Further information about the Society can be found at http://irepbath.eu/.
Commenting, Don Foster MP said: “I was delighted to be asked by IREP to take part in this Q&A, getting students engaged with politics is a very important issue and it was fantastic to see so many people asking a range of questions.
“The event created lots of interesting discussion between students with many different views, which was great to see. In order to create a stronger economy and fairer society the Liberal Democrats are engaging with people from all ages and backgrounds”.
Commenting further, event organiser and current postgraduate student, Josh Townsley said: “It was fantastic to have Don talk to students at our University.
“There was a big audience of both students and non-students. It was fascinating to hear about life inside the Coalition and what Don and the Liberal Democrats are doing in Government.”
