Local residents are being warned to expect heavy rain and strong winds across the area tomorrow and into the weekend.
The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning, saying that there is an increased risk of heavy rain and gale force gusts of up to 60mph.
The area of low pressure currently developing over the Atlantic Ocean is likely to move close to or across southern England late on Friday and early Saturday, bringing with it the spell of wet weather.
Up to 15 to 30 mm of rain is likely across the local area. The weather is set to clear up on Sunday morning.
Forecasters are warning the public to be careful, as plans could be disrupted with the weather interfering with travel arrangements and the likelihood of flooding across the region.
This weather follows on from last week’s storm, which caused trees to come down across Bath with some areas experiencing localised flooding.
