Bath’s BID Night Marshal’s will be extending their hours during key World Cup Fixtures to ensure that football supporters enjoy themselves while keeping safe.
The extension to the BID Night Marshal Service has been jointly funded by Bath & North East Somerset and the Bath Business Improvement District (BID) Company.
Chief Executive, Andrew Cooper, said: “It’s important to recognise that there will be certain days during the World Cup when the city centre is extraordinarily busy with football supporters.
“Lots of businesses are allowing their staff a degree of flexibility to take part in the sporting events and we want to ensure that everyone enjoys a fun and safe night out which is why we have extended our BID Night Marshal working hours.”
The Night Marshal’s which are provided by Security Company Safe & Sound will patrol until 4am on Saturday nights throughout the summer period and key World Cup Fixture dates.
