The Victoria Art Gallery in Bath is introducing new temporary exhibition admission prices from April, including free entry for under-21s and discounts for Council Discovery Card holders.
From 5th April 2014, many visitors will be able to benefit from discounts for temporary exhibitions in the downstairs area of the Council-run Gallery. The upstairs permanent collection remains free to all visitors.
Councillor Ben Stevens (Lib-Dem, Widcombe), Cabinet Member for Sustainable Development, said: “We’re making our prices for temporary exhibitions even clearer for visitors with these flat rates, and in response to public requests; we’re also offering a generous discount to Discovery Card holders.
“We look forward to welcoming more young people to enjoy the Victoria Art Gallery’s visiting exhibitions as they can benefit from free entry for under-21s.
“The price of our Annual Exhibition Pass has been frozen at £10 – which works out at just 83 pence a month, or around 20 pence a week and allows visitors to come and go as often as they please. Our frequent local visitors appreciate that this offers great value for money, as Bath & North East Somerset Council strives to protect front line services and still offer everyone a range of opportunities to enjoy culture.”

- Adult: £3.50
- Senior citizens (65 and over) & full-time students over 21 (with valid ID): £3.00
