Avon and Somerset Police in Bath are appealing for information about a serious assault on a car driver on Bradford Road in Combe Down.
It happened just after midnight on Monday morning, 26th May, as the 61-year-old driver was parking outside a relative’s house.
For no apparent reason a man opened the door of his white Skoda Felicia and ordered him to get out.
He then grabbed the driver and tried to pull him out, then punched him several times in the face.
The driver suffered a suspected fractured cheekbone, a black eye and a bleeding nose and needed later hospital treatment.
The attacker walked off along Bradford Road towards Foxhill.
Anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or who saw the Skoda or a pedestrian on Bradford Road at that time, is asked to contact Bath police on 101 quoting crime reference number 52643/14.
