Detectives from Avon and Somerset Police in Bath are appealing for witnesses to contact them about a fight involving a large group of people in Bathwick Street, near the fire station.
One 27-year-old man was punched and kicked to the ground and suffered a fractured cheek that needed hospital treatment.
It happened at around 2am on Wednesday 24th April. The man had been with friends in a city centre club and was walking home when he says he was attacked.
Police say there would have been passing vehicles even at that time in the early morning, and are appealing for anyone with information to call Bath CID on 101, quoting crime number 39209/13.
