The Wiltshire Bikers will once again be arriving en masse at Shaftesbury Court in Trowbridge this Good Friday to let the residents see, hear and sit on a range of motorcycles.
Having run this event last year with over 50 bikes in attendance, the Wiltshire Bikers have been invited back for a second year by the residents.
Shaftesbury Court is a purpose-built residential home for adults with physical disabilities and learning disabilities. It is important to stimulate and entertain the residents, and the sight and sound of such a big group of motorcycles arriving in their carpark was a huge excitement last year. The bikers will be treated to Hot Cross Buns, tea and coffee (donated by Wiltshire Bikers) while the residents get chance to look round the bikes, which will range from 125s to 1200cc machines, sportsbikes to cruisers.
After spending around an hour with the residents, the group will ride together to Chew Valley Lakes for lunch.
Wiltshire Bikers founder James Eades says: “We work hard throughout the year to fundraise for Wiltshire Bikers which allows us to put on events like this one – we can make sure Shaftesbury Court get a great show without having to dip into their own funds. Last year we had 50 bikes turn up and we’re expecting to easily beat that this year. Our members love to get involved with these types of events and we have a really great bunch of people in the group.“
