The driver of a car on Ralph Allen Drive this morning was lucky to escape their vehicle unharmed after it overturned on the road.

The car was travelling down the hill when it met a large patch of black ice on the road, thought to be caused by a problem with water channeling reported to the Council back in August.
The water remains as a constant stream across the road from the left side to the right, though the variation of amount depends on the weather.
The overturning of the car at 9.55am will hopefully bring into action a new plan for the road channeling of the water coming off the hill on the left.
If you have any issues with road maintenance, phone Council Connect on 01225 394041.
