On Saturday 26th May 2012, The Forever Friends Appeal are holding their annual 21 mile walk along the picturesque Kennet & Avon canal from Devizes to Bath.

This is the perfect opportunity for you to celebrate or remember the life of a loved one of yours while raising funds for the RUH Space for Cancer Care Campaign.

On the day you can choose to take on the full 21 mile challenge or sign up to walk in either the morning from Devizes to Bradford-on-Avon (12 miles) or the afternoon from Bradford-on-Avon to Bath (9 miles). It costs just £10 to secure your place in the event and all walkers are asked to help raise funds to transform Cancer Services at the Royal United Hospital, Bath.

The idea for this beautiful walk was thought up just five years ago by a wonderful friend and fundraiser, Vanessa Kyte, who sadly passed away from cancer in 2007. Vanessa was a truly inspirational lady who put her heart and soul into raising funds to improve care for patients in situations similar to hers. Her remarkable achievements and passion for fundraising has continued in her memory, as this is the fifth year that Vanessa’s family have led the walk along the canal.  Vanessa loved to focus on a positive challenge and this picturesque walk certainly fits the bill!

This event has been very kindly supported by local property management company Touchstone.

To download your application form for the walk or find out more about the Cancer Care Campaign visit www.foreverfriendsappeal.co.uk.
