The Sulis Soundtrack Festival of Music and Sport due to take place this Saturday at Bath Racecourse has been cancelled due to conditions caused by the recent weather.
Bath Music Plus and Bath & North East Somerset Council announced yesterday that the festival was being cancelled with the organisers apologising for any inconvenience caused.
Due to the ground conditions on the centre course – where the Sulis Soundtrack Festival was due to be held – it was decided it would not be possible to bring on articulated lorries and construct the heavy staging needed to hold the music festival safely.
Anyone who has already purchased a ticket for the Sulis Soundtrack event should contact the outlet where they bought their ticket for a full refund.
The bandstand performance by the Malmesbury Concert Band in Parade Gardens, Bath, at 3pm on Sunday 22 July is still expected to go ahead as planned.
