Between 10am and 4pm today, Avon and Somerset Police, Bath and North East Somerset Council and students from the City of Bath College will join forces to give a makeover to an underpass at the end of Westmoreland Street in Bath.
It is part of the Council’s ‘Love where you live’ and the Police’s ‘Relentless’ campaigns for community action within our City.
The underpass area has been badly affected by graffiti, litter and general wear and tear over the past few years and it has been an issue that will now be sorted by the union of the College, Council and Police.
B&NES Police youth strategy officer PC Simon Selby said: “The student task force will give the area a much-needed facelift. Many of the students come from the colleges’ excellent public services course and as such they are keen to display their public spirited beliefs through pragmatic action.”
