Avon and Somerset Police in Bath are appealing for witnesses and information after a stolen car was driven deliberately into the front of a tattoo shop in Odd Down.

They want to hear from anyone who saw or heard what happened just before 3am yesterday, Tuesday 15th January, in Upper Bloomfield Road.

A Mazda MX5 stolen from Bathwick Street a little earlier was apparently pushed into position facing the shop, Point Blank Tattoos, and a weight put on the accelerator to send it into the front window.

Detectives say a young man was spotted running away from the scene.

Anyone who saw the incident or witnessed anything suspicious is asked to call Bath police on 101.

Call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org. They never ask for your name or trace your call. You can also contact the police in confidence via their website www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact
