A town-wide survey giving local residents the opportunity to have their say about the future use of Victoria Hall will be distributed by Bath & North East Somerset Council this week.

All residents in both Radstock and Westfield wards will receive the questionnaire by the end of the week. The Council wants to develop a proposal for Victoria Hall that will make it a lively, vibrant part of Radstock town centre which complements the existing facilities.

Councillor Paul Crossley (Lib-Dem, Southdown), Leader of Council, said, “Obtaining feedback and listening to local people is an important part of Bath & North East Somerset Council developing a long-term plan for Victoria Hall. We recognise the building is highly valued by the community and hope for a good response rate to the survey.”

Councillor David Bellotti (Lib-Dem, Lyncombe), Cabinet Member for Community Resources, “By responding to this survey, people will be influencing the delivery of improvements in their community. Whatever the future of the Hall, renovations will be required to bring the building up to a 21st century standard and over the coming months the Cabinet will be working to identify funding to achieve this.”

People have until Friday 15th June 2012 to fill in the questionnaire and return it to the Council – alternatively, it can be completed on-line http://www.bathnes.gov.uk/regenradstock.
