Top comedy, live music and entertainment venue Komedia Bath is offering a year’s free entry to the first person to change their name to Roy Hodgson by Deed Poll.
Ahead of this summer’s European Championships, which are being held in Poland and Ukraine, Komedia Bath is offering a year’s free admission to any music or comedy show (subject to availability) at the award-winning venue for anyone who has legally changed their name to Roy Hodgson.
Hodgson, 72, was recently announced as permanent England manager by the FA, and takes over from predecessor Fabio Capello, who controversially resigned in February.
Interested parties must be willing to retain and use the name Roy Hodgson for a minimum of one calendar year, and bring proof of ID to every show they want to attend.
The competition comes as part of Komedia Bath announcing that it will be showing every England game at Euro 2012, from the three group games (vs France on June 11, vs Sweden on June 15 and vs Ukraine on June 19) plus the knockout stage games (should England progress!)
Richard Daws, Director of Komedia Bath, spoke about the decision to show England’s Euro 2012 games: “A few of our team were initially surprised that Harry Redknapp wasn’t the man selected for the England manager job, but all of us at Komedia Bath really hope that Roy Hodgson can lead the team to victory at Euro 2012!”
He continued: “We’re really excited to be showing all of England’s Euro 2012 games, we have a wonderful venue and we hope that people will come along and enjoy it with us. No matter whether England win, lose or draw, Roy Hodgson will always be welcome at Komedia Bath”
Tickets for all of England’s Group D games are currently available on the Komedia Bath website (www.komedia.co.uk/bath) or via the telephone booking line – 0845 293 8480
