One of Bath and the surrounding area’s most popular homecare organisations has recruited a new care manager. Bluebird Care B&NES, which employs over 70 local people, has appointed Angela Clifford to the post.

Angela, a behaviour management specialist and former college lecturer, comes with over twenty years experience of working in the care industry, and hopes to work with the Bluebird Care team to continue to improve standards and provide a first class service to people in their homes. She said: “My passion for providing good quality care has increased over the years. The experiences with my 16-year-old daughter who has learning difficulties have shown me that it’s essential that all people receive quality care at home, so they can live happy and fulfilling lives whatever their needs.

“Bluebird Care has developed an excellent reputation in Bath and the surrounding villages over the last two years. With nearly 200 customers already, I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the staff to move our positive reputation even further.”

Bluebird Care’s work involves providing care visits, normally on a daily basis for relatively short periods to help with the everyday tasks of life. However the service does not stop there because longer duration visits are available as well, including overnight and live-in care.

The organisation operates and provides care throughout all of Bath and North East Somerset and helps to look after many different types of people including physically disabled adults, older people and people with dementia.

Tim Rowland-Jones, Managing Director of Bluebird Care, was delighted with Angela’s appointment: “I went into the recruitment process wanting to find someone with similar values to myself, who is committed to delivering only the highest standard of quality care and we are fortunate to have found Angela. She brings huge experience to the role and I have no doubt that she will prove to be a real asset to the team.”

Bluebird Care’s success has been met with numerous awards and recognition. Last year they won the Local Investment Award at the B&NES Business Awards and were also shortlisted in the Customer Service category at the Bath Chronicle’s Business Awards.
