Avon and Somerset Police have charged a man with the murder of a 28-year-old woman in Bath at the weekend.
Paul Keene, aged 31, of Bennett Street, appeared at Bath and Wansdyke Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance at a property in Bennett Street on Sunday morning and discovered the body of a woman.
They have confirmed the identity of the woman as Carmen Gabriela Miron Buchara, aged 28, who was known by friends as Gaby.
The post mortem has confirmed that her death was caused by strangulation.
