Avon and Somerset Police in Bath are asking for help to identify a man they want to talk to about the theft of a bag from the Halcyon Hotel in South Parade.

CCTV pictures show a man going into the hotel foyer at around 6.20am on Tuesday 15th January.

He then went behind the reception desk, picked up a bag belonging to a member of staff and walked out. The theft was not discovered until after he had left.

The bag is black with a shoulder strap and the word Billabong in blue letters on the front.

Anyone who recognises the man pictured is asked to contact PC 252 Russell at Bath police station on 101.

You can alternatively call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org. They never ask for your name or trace your call. You can also contact police in confidence via their website www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact.
