Avon and Somerset Police in Bath are appealing for witnesses and information to an incident in which a woman had her bag snatched on the London Road at around 9.25pm on Friday March 8th.

She was walking from Larkhall towards the Londis supermarket when a man ran past her and grabbed the bag from her shoulder. A second man then ran past and both then made off towards the city centre and were lost to sight.

The 20-year-old woman was not injured. Her bag, a vintage tan-coloured Longchamps rucksack style, contained a iPhone, foreign bank cards and groceries.

The man who stole the bag is described as white, around 25 years old, 6ft tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a red jacket that was open, a grey T-shirt and a black beanie hat. He had a thick, shiny silver chain around his neck.

The second man is of mixed heritage, described a quite dark-skinned, around 18-19 years old. 5ft 10ins tall and of lean, athletic build.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bath police on 101 or via http://www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact/crime reporting/
