Avon and Somerset Police in Bath are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery in Brook Road, near Oldfield Park railway station.
It happened at around 11.20pm on Sunday 14th April. A group of six or seven youths in their late teens approached a 19-year-old man and demanded his mobile phone and cash.
When he refused they punched him to the ground, and again as he got up and ran away. Nothing was stolen.
The attackers are described as white and all were wearing hooded tops.
