The organisers of Peasedown’s Jubilee Party in the Park said ‘thank you’ last Friday night to all those who volunteered at the event in June, at a special Thank You party.
Over 50 volunteers helped with collecting money at entrance gates, clearing litter, setting up stalls, handing out programmes, and marshalling traffic on June 4th at the popular event on Beacon Field.
The event was the biggest to date with an official attendance figure of 3,089 people and more than £4,000 being raised on the day.
Party in the Park Stewarding Manager Jo Davis said: “We rely so much on our volunteers each year to make sure the festival is successful. A lot of energy and effort goes into ensuring 3,000 people are happy and have an enjoyable, fun day out.
“I’m grateful to all our helpers this year who worked well together and looked after the public. Our Thank You party was our way of showing them how much their hard work is appreciated.”
The Thank You party was held at the Prince of Wales Inn, located on the edge of Peasedown on Dunkerton Hill. Party in the Park’s Karen Walker added: “The venue was ideal for us to announce plans for future events and activities coming up, and to give people advance details of our new volunteer initiative scheme we’ll be launching in a few weeks time.“
The team’s next event is Christmas in the Park on Friday 21st December at Beacon Hall, starting at 7pm.
