The organisers of Peasedown’s Midsummer Party in the Park are looking for local companies to sponsor their huge community event.

In the run up to the 5th annual summer celebration local businesses and organisations are being asked to come forward to show their support.

Mike Auton, the festival’s fundraising manager said: “With our vision of making Party in the Park bigger and better every year, this year’s extravaganza will cost more than £7,000 to host.

“Seven hours of live music on our 45-foot trailer stage, a farmers’ market, a huge range of stalls and attractions, and the return of our Peasedown Diamond cider, are just a few of the things on offer on the 22nd June.

“As well as the fun side of the show, we also need to make sure we can cover the costs of our public liability insurance, our premises license and all the health and safety aspects that shouldn’t be taken for granted.”

Businesses and organisations who want to support Midsummer Party in the Park can receive a number of sponsorship packages that include adverts in the official programme, logos on banners, posters and the event website, and promotion through the local press.

So far, more than £1,300 has been given or pledged by organisations including Bluebird Care B&NES, Mercedes, St John’s Church, B&NES Council and Bath Audi.

Julian Drew, the Business Manager at Bath Audi said: “I am delighted that Bath Audi is once again able to support the Peasedown Party in the Park event. The Midsummer party is great fun for all the family and allows us to get involved with the local community that is just a stone’s throw from our dealership on Bath Business Park. I will be keeping my fingers crossed that the weather is kind to us on that day so that the people of Peasedown can really enjoy an excellent day out for all the family.”

Last year more than 3,000 people attended Party in the Park – making it one of the most popular and well attended community events in Bath and North East Somerset.

Bluebird Care (Bath and North East Somerset) Director Tim Rowland-Jones added: “We are pleased again to be sponsoring Party in the Park this year. Many of our customers live in the Peasedown area and tell us often how successful and enjoyable the event is. Bluebird Care (Bath and North East Somerset) is always building new links with communities projects and groups because they matter to the people we work with.

“Good luck to the organisers for the 2013 festival. I’m sure it will be the biggest and best yet.“

Festival chairman Nathan Hartley added: “We would be grateful for any contribution made, and with our sponsorship packages, we’ll ensure that all sponsors receive recognition and advertising opportunities prior to the event, and on the big day itself.”
