Further details of the second Bath City Conference for 2013 have now been announced by the Council. This free, drop in event, will take place on Wednesday 1st May at the Guildhall, Bath between 2pm and 8pm and everyone is welcome.
As well as numerous stands showcasing the work of local community groups, organisations and businesses; there will also be a series of workshops throughout the day on topics ranging from Community Rights, The Special Olympics, Setting up a Social Enterprise, Older People’s Issues, Transport, Leisure, Street Management and Economic Vibrancy.
Full details will be available in a published programme and next week and are already available on the Bath City Conference website www.bathcityconference.net.
At 6.30pm, there will be an ‘Ask the Panel’ event in the Council Chamber, chaired by Henry Brown, Chairman of the Federation of Bath Residents’ Associations.
The panel members will be Cllr Paul Crossley, Leader of the Council; Dr Jo Farrar, Chief Executive of the Council; Dr Ian Orpen, Chair of the B&NES NHS Clinical Commissioning Group and Robert Buckland, founder and editor of Bath Business News.

The overall aim of the City Conference is to provide local people with an opportunity to engage with each other and key organisations in the City; share information; debate the issues/future possibilities and learn from each other.
There will be entertainment throughout the day, both in the Guildhall and City Centre from Performing Arts Students from the Bath Dance Academy. Reasonably priced refreshments will also be available.
