Avon and Somerset and Wiltshire police are appealing for information to help trace a 39-year-old man, Allan Campbell, who may be in the area, over recent burglaries involving canal boats.
The police officers want to talk to him about a number of canal boat burglaries over the past three months.
He is described as white, 6ft 2ins tall, of proportionate build and with numerous tattoos on his arms, hands, chest and back.
He has no fixed address and is believed to have been in the Warwickshire area recently but may have moved on.
Bath police are investigating eight canal boat burglaries that they believe are linked. Three happened over the Easter holiday weekend in the Bathampton and Claverton areas.
Anyone who recognises Mr Campbell and knows of his whereabouts, or who has any information, is asked to call 101 and talk to DC Gary Snailum at Bath police or DC Nick Mackian at Wiltshire Police.
