Avon and Somerset Police were called at 3am to reports of an incident outside of the Guildhall building near the bus gate. When officers arrived, they found one man injured.

The man was rushed to hospital, and his current condition is described as neither life threatening or life changing. The area was cordoned off this morning as the police made their inquiries as to what had happened. Black tarpaulin  had been placed over the scene to retain any forensic evidence from the attack.

Avon and Somerset Police have since arrested a man in regards to this incident on charge of suspicion of affray.
