Man Is Assaulted In Bath Bus Station

Avon and Somerset Police in Bath are appealing for witnesses to an assault outside the bus station that left a 53-year-old man with serious facial injuries.

It happened at around 11.30am on Monday 6th May in Dorchester Street.

The victim was sitting on a bench when a man asked him for a light and then punched him twice in the face and walked off.

The victim was taken to the RUH for treatment to a broken nose and a suspected fractured cheek.

His attacker is described as white, in his 30s, around 6ft tall and of thin build with short dark hair. He was wearing a white round-neck T-shirt, white shorts and white Nike trainers.

Police say the area was reasonably busy with pedestrians and vehicles at the time. Anyone who saw what happened or who has any information is asked to call 101 quoting crime reference 0162.
