Lib Dem B&NES Councillors Nathan Hartley and Sarah Bevan (Peasedown St John) have secured £7,500 to give a popular public footpath a much needed makeover.

The cinder path, connecting Hillside View and Firgrove Lane with Bath Road is well used by residents. For years it had been left to deteriorate with minimal maintenance work.

Following requests from residents, Nathan and Sarah secured the funding over the summer, which has now led to the repair work taking place.

Cllr Nathan Hartley said; “If anyone hasn’t had a chance to look at the path, please do. It’s a fantastic piece of workmanship. A number of residents came to our advice durgeries many times during the first half of this year to raise concerns about the poor state of the path’s surface.”

“After much liaison with B&NES Council’s Public Right of Way Team, we are pleased this essential repair work has been carried out.”
