The Council Health and Wellbeing Board is developing its first Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy and is keen to hear your views.
Local health and care organisations are coming together for the Board’s first formal engagement event in the Bath Guildhall on Tuesday 30th April 2013 (11am-1pm). The Board’s draft strategy will be presented for discussion and a period of wider consultation will be launched (running until 7th June 2013).
The Board is keen to hear feedback from any interested group, organisation, service user or local resident and a consultation leaflet will be available on its webpage (www.bathnes.gov.uk/health-wellbeing-board) from 30th April in order to welcome comments on the draft strategy.
Councillor Simon Allen, Chair of the Bath and North East Somerset Health and Wellbeing Board, said: “No one should underestimate our determination to make a difference. We want to improve the health of local people and ensure that everyone has a fairer chance of living well.
“The Health and Wellbeing Board positively welcomes people to help us by giving their views on how we may achieve this – either by coming along to our future public meetings, through joining in with the consultation on our webpage or writing to us.”
The finished strategy will be the overarching plan for improving health and wellbeing and reducing inequalities across Bath and North East Somerset. It outlines the Health and Wellbeing Board’s key areas of focus in the coming years around:
