Local people are being asked for their views on the future shape of Bath & North East Somerset Council’s Library Service as part of a new strategy for the next five years.
A short survey will be available at all local libraries run by the Council from Thursday 1st September to Friday 30th September 2011. It asks questions about what services that people value, how they rate particular services, and those services they consider most essential.
Councillor David Dixon (Lib-Dem, Oldfield), Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, said, “This is a good opportunity for all users of Bath & North East Somerset Council libraries to have their say about the future of the service. We want to provide a modern service in tune as much as possible with what local people tell us they want. I hope people can spend a few moments completing a survey to help us.“
The survey is also available online at http://www.bathnes.gov.uk/libraries or can be obtained by emailing [email protected].
June Brassington, Council Library Services Manager, added, “The short surveys are available at the reception desks of all our libraries. They will help inform the development of our strategy along with other recent consultations with people who use and don’t use our libraries.“
