Have A Crafty Time This Christmas

A variety of fun craft sessions are on offer at Bath’s museums this December for children and families to create their own homemade Christmas cards, decorations and gifts.

Visitors to the Victoria Art Gallery can get into the festive spirit with “Seasons Greetings” – hosted by the Young @ Art Club on Saturday 3 December – an opportunity to make cards, tags and decorations using techniques such as printing and collage. The session costs £3.75 per child and runs from 10.30am to midday. Children aged 3-11 are welcome with an adult and places must be booked in advance on 01225 477244.

The “Festive Sparkle” drop-in event at the Fashion Museum on Sunday 4 December, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, also offers the chance to create unique and beautiful Christmas cards and decorations. Entry to the session is free for Discovery Card holders and National Trust members.

The Roman Baths will be running “A Marvellous Mosaic” on Saturday 10 December, from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm, to make a mosaic calendar so that children can apply this handy craft to creating other gifts. These drop-in sessions are also free to Discovery Card holders.
