Business support clinics funded by the Council and delivered by Business West offering advice about on a wide range of topics including exporting goods and services and protecting intellectual property rights will be available over the next six months.
The clinics are part of the Council’s efforts to help businesses thrive and grow during difficult national economic times for local commerce. They will be provided by experts working for Business West and are available free to any business located in Bath and North East Somerset.
Business Advice clinic sessions:
These are for businesses or new start up’s seeking the comfort of talking through general business issues with an impartial adviser.
When: 10am -3pm on the following days: 11th July, 5th September, 26th September, 11th October, 31st October, 12th November, 21st November, 5th December.
UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) Clinic Sessions:
These are for businesses interested in exploring the opportunities for exporting their goods and services or expanding their current export markets. UKTI is a Government department with professional advisers across 96 international markets that help UK-based companies take advantage of export opportunities.
When: 11.30am to 3pm on the following days : Tuesday 31st July / Tuesday 28th August / Tuesday 25th September / Tuesday 30th October / Tuesday 27th November / Tuesday 18th December 2012.
igniteIP Clinic Sessions:
This new service is for businesses wanting to understand more about the need to and mechanisms for protecting intellectual property rights. They can help businesses manage their trademarks, patents, designs and copyright and also Intellectual Assets such as specialist knowledge, company manuals and technical expertise.
10am to 4pm on the following days : Thursday 26th July / Thursday 27th September / Thursday 25th October / Thursday 29th November / Thursday 20th December 2012.
