The funeral of soldier David Boyce took place today at Bath Abbey, with hundreds turning out to pay respects after he was killed in Afghanistan.
Lieutenant David Boyce, 25, was the head boy at both the Paragon and Kingswood schools, and died after his armoured vehicle struck a bomb in the Helmand province.
The Lieutenant was one of two soldiers who were killed after the explosion while their troop were on patrol in Yakchal, an area within Helmand.
The service at the Abbey was held at 2pm with David having a small escort through Bath with police motorbikes and vehicles. He was repatriated at Brize Norton last week.
