Free IT Course For Jobseekers

City of Bath College is running a free IT course for unemployed people looking to get back into work.

The four-week course is designed to help people improve their confidence working with computers and the internet.

Learners will receive training in email and word processing software and learn how to create and edit business documents.

Other IT skills included in the course include letter layout, editing saved documents, typing in boxes/forms, printing documents, attaching documents and images to email, researching job opportunities online and applying for jobs online.

The course takes place on Tuesday 14th, 21st and 28th August and the 4thSeptember. It runs from 12.45pm to 2.45pm at the Percy Community Centre, New King Street, Bath, BA1 2BN.

For learners with little or no IT Skills, an IT starter session will take place at the Percy Community Centre on Tuesday 7th August from 12.45pm to 2.45pm. The course will teach learners basic IT skills and enable them to start on the four-week programme.
