Free food waste liners are being offered by the Council to anyone who Likes their new ‘Recycle for Bathnes’ Facebook page.
A roll of compostable kitchen 5 litre caddy liners will be sent free when people provide the Council their address after clicking Like. The ‘Recycle for Bathnes’ Facebook page is an opportunity for people to:
- Find out about the latest special offers, like good value composting bins;
- Discover more about and comment upon the latest waste and recycling initiatives, like weekly kerbside small electrical collections;
- Share comments, thoughts, and photographs, how they are participating in recycling campaigns and events, like Give and Take Days.
Councillor David Dixon (Lib-Dem, Oldfield), Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, said, “The new Facebook page is one of the best ways for people to keep up to date with the latest waste and recycling information from Bath & North East Somerset Council. We want to encourage people to share their comments with us about recycling initiatives and campaigns via social media. Reducing landfill and cutting carbon emissions truly is a community wide effort and Facebook is an excellent way to bring local people together.
“There is no better incentive to encourage people to use our page than giving away free food waste liners when they Like us.”
