The first Green Living Fair, organised by the Council, Transition Bath and the Bath Preservation Trust, will take place at Green Park Station in Bath on Sunday 24th March.
The family friendly event is part of Bath Green Homes’ programme of events and aims to inspire people to green-up their home and lifestyle, with a host of activities and talks on offer throughout the day.
The fair includes a market place of stalls belonging to community groups, green businesses and local installers who will be running activities, selling their produce and sharing their expertise. Make your own pedal powered fruit smoothie, meet a pygmy goat, bring your bike along for a free check-up at the Dr Bike clinic or try your hand at a range of eco arts and crafts. Plus the whole event is under cover, so there’s no need to worry about the weather.
There will be a marquee of topical talks running throughout the day covering home, energy and environmental themes and you can also book a 30 minute appointment to talk to an architect in the Ask the Architect Zone to discuss plans, schemes and dreams for large or small projects.
In addition, ‘The Royal Institute of British Architects’ 21st Century Living Exhibition will be on show, featuring images of fantastic local architectural achievements.

The Green Living Fair is one of over 20 events in the Bath Green Homes programme running throughout March and April. The programme also includes the Open Homes Weekend on 13 & 14 April, which showcases inspiring examples of energy efficient homes across Bath, as well as talks, activities and workshops all aiming to help people make their homes warmer, greener and cheaper to run.
